The Content of the Minor Repair, Medium Repair and Overhaul of Ball Mill

Equipment maintenance has an immediate influence on ball mill's running rate and working life. In order to cut down its downtime, the spare parts of ball mill must be checked and changed timely and designedly. According to the workload, the maintenance of ball mill in general can be divided into minor repair, medium repair and overhaul.

1. The minor repair. Minor repair cycle is usually for a month, or any time if emergency occurs.

·Check and clean the oil pump, oil filter and lubrication pipeline, and replace the lubricating oil;

·Check, add and tighten the blots on each component;

·Check the big and small gears and record the wear pattern, and replace or repair the worn gears;

·Check the coupling and change the elastic aprons and other parts;

·Change the shell liner;

·Check and mend the feeding pipe and discharging pipe;

·Check the feeding machine, dynamical system and accessory equipment.

2. The medium repair. Medium repair cycle is usually set for 4 to 6 months.

·Cover all the items of minor repair;

·Check and change the feeding pipe, discharging pipe and feeding machine;

·Repair the big transmission gear.

3. The overhaul. Overhaul period is usually set or 2 to 4 years.

·Cover all the items included by the minor and medium repair;

·Repair and replace the base bearing and big gear wheel;

·Check, repair or change the barrel;

·Repair or replace the feeding or discharging covers;

·Renovate the foundation, reinstall and alignment, and have a second grouting.
