The thrust plate can be regulated in length to control the size of discharging mouth and discharging granularity of products.

It is very important to regulate its discharging mouth because the production process of jaw crusher can be affected by the machine's abrasion. So in order to guarantee the granularity of final products, we should regulate the discharging size of discharging mouth. How to regulate discharging mouth? There are two ways: first is to regulate the spacer between the bearing seats of thrust plate and frame back. Generally, the large and medium jaw crusher adopts the regulation of spacer number to change discharging mouth size. The other way is to regulate the wedge block, which is common for small scaled jaw crusher.

The insurance device of jaw crusher is thrust plate which is often a unit which is made up with cast iron. Two thrust plates can be connected by bolts and form a united thrust plate. If some uncrushable materials like steel sections or iron enter into the crushing chamber, the equipment load will increase. The thrust plate will protect the main parts of jaw crusher from damage. The equipment will transfer the large impact to thrust plate. Too large impact will damage or break thrust plate and stops the machine, which can protect the machine.
